Wow
My Videoke
Wow just wow!
I can't believe I've not updated this blog for more than a month. I think I'm just being lazy...actually I was busy finishing projects. Which is good anyway.
I will update soon.

Bolt 9.58 seconds
My Videoke
Wow, Usain Bolt did it again. His 9.58 seconds mark for 100m shattered the world record - again. Can he go faster than that? 9.50 seconds perhaps, is it even possible? He and countryman Osafa Powell did a little dance number after the victory, but the song wasn't from rapper Akon with the lyric going "Quicker than Usain Bolt, the fastest thing runnin'." But you're lucky, here's the song from Akon:

Hallelujah - Bob Dylan
My Videoke
Bob Dylan was looking for a house in Long Branch, New Jersey when cops approached him and asked for his name. Apparently, he was seen peering into a window of a house that was for sale which prompted a neighbor to call the police on July 23. One of the responding officers recognized his name but didn't believe it was Bob Dylan. Honestly, if I see Bob Dylan outside of my house, I will not know that it's him. It ends well since Bob was able to give them his identifcation when the cops accompanied him to the parked tour buses (yes he was on tour with Willie Nelson and Joh Mellencamp).
Hallelujah!!!

Got to Believe in Magic
My Videoke
How much is your phone bill? Mine was around $40 a month. But that was months ago, now I pay $20 a year. Yes, that's $20 per year, I just need to repeat that. And this is unlimited calling. I can call anybody from the US and Canada - free and unlimited. Check it out below:

Can I use this call to from another country to the US and Canada? YES! It's not easy to be away from home. The good thing there is the Internet. You can chat with your relatives and friends, send emails, invite them to your blog, etc. Or call them through your home/cell phone. If you've been calling your friends/relatives from the US, you'd know how high the cost of calling long distance.
So what I did to save money? I got myself MagicJack and sent it to my family in the Philippines. They set it up to an Internet ready computer and a few minutes later, they are able to call me in the US. And that's unlimited call. They can call anybody in the US and Canada, and I can call them from my US home phone for free. My area code here is 717, so they (in the Philippines) installed Magic Jack with a phone number using the same area code. It's pretty simple. I have no problems with their service and the sound is very clear. How much is it then, you may ask? It's just $40 plus tax for the first year and the next year you will have to pay for $20. Yes, it's $20 every year.
Now, the good thing is Magic Jack is offering a 100% Risk-Free 30-Day Trial! It's your chance to try it now:

Huwag Na Lang Kaya
My Videoke
It's been a while since I've recorded a videoke shoot. Yes, I was busy and also wanted to use a high-definition camera to capture these moments. So I headed to Sears and bought the discounted Kodak Zx1 HD Pocket Video Camera
and I like it. Why did I wait a month or 2 to buy this? Yes, I almost forgot, I can't afford it to buy it in a whim and I have to save to get it and also wait for the price to go down. I think the video quality is better now compared to my other old videos.
Here is my version of Huwag Na Lang Kaya:

What's a "Moonwalk"
My Videoke
The moonwalk or backslide is a dance technique that presents the illusion that the dancer is stepping forward while actually moving backward. It gives the appearance of a person moving along a conveyor belt. The dance move gained widespread popularity after being performed by Michael Jackson during his song "Billie Jean" on the March 25, 1983, television special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, and was considered his signature move. The moonwalk has since become one of the best known dance moves in the world. Watch it here:

Billie Jean Videoke
My Videoke
Following the successful chart performances of Thriller and "The Girl Is Mine", "Billie Jean" was released on January 2, 1983, as the album's second single. The song was promoted with a short film that broke down MTV's racial barrier as the first video by a black artist to be aired by the channel, and an Emmy-nominated performance on Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, in which Jackson premiered "the moonwalk." Here is the videoke/karaoke:
